"flow of gold"
The term kanak-dhara combine two words— Kanak (the gold) and Dhara (the flow). Thus, the term kanak-dhara means the flow of gold, which symbolizes as the showering of wealth. The kanak-dhara-yantra, is considered as a competent tool to get the wealth showered. Even though, it has been in wide practice for centuries in India, but it is neither purely Vedic nor entirely tantrik— rather a fine blend of both, which came into existence about twelve centuries ago.
The kanak-dhara-yantra is actually an after-invention— it is basically a stotra (the psalm) composed by Adi Shankar-Acharya. The legend tells that once upon a time, an old lady visited Shankar-Acharya. She had nothing with her to survive her life. Compassionate Shankar-Acharya became kind on her, and then composed a stotra in Sanskrit for her that contains 18 shlokas (verses) in total. When she tearfully chanted the stotra following the way suggested, the showering of wealth took place in her life from all the directions. Keeping the result in mind, that stotra was later named as kanak-dhara-stotra. And in the course of time, a yantra was later developed and designed on the basis of that stotra so that it could be beneficial to more persons in need. Since then, it is believed that, even the poorest person could be wealthy from all the directions through practicing this yantra.
Yantras are built to provide you spiritual energy in its most purified and powerful form. Without the activation / Pran-Pratishtha of a Yantra, it remains just a piece of metal and serves a decorative purpose only. It is recommended that you buy a Yantra ONLY with Pran-Pratishtha, otherwise it is of no use.
Also, you must be aware that every Yantra is not suitable for everyone. Each of us is compatible with a specific Yantra based on one's horoscope chart. You are requested to buy the Yantra which suits you based on your planetary chart and aura.
